Don't be afraid to talk to people. Don't be afraid to meet new people. Don't be afraid to ask for help from people. Don't be afraid to help people.
You never know what will come of it.
One sentence could change the way you think, or the direction in life you're heading. One phone number could open many options. One compliment could give you the boost you require to get out and do what you really want to do.

I was at a small concert today, and this woman on stage mentioned she worked for one of the biggest radio stations in Sydney. It is my ultimate dream to work in the media, be it radio or television, that's what I want.
So, after the show, instead of waiting in the enormous queue for an autograph from the star who'd just performed, I went looking for this woman. Feeling a bit weird, cause she's not expecting someone to want to talk to her, and nervous cause it's weird.
I find her, I call her over and we have a brief chat. I asked her how she got the job with the radio station. She gave me some good advice. She basically told me to just chase it. She had never been to university, she just worked hard to get in the industry, with experience and people she knew from those experiences. I thanked her and complimented her on how she pepped up the crowd before the show. Very happy with something I wasn't even aware would happen.
I feel good and motivated.
Just get out there and do it. Life is short and there is no better time than now.
