It was the 31st of December 2011. We were sitting around discussing new years resolutions.
"I want to learn the ukulele" Phil said with excitement.
"Wouldn't it be great if we learnt together!" I suggested.

Alright, that's not exactly how it started, but it is close enough :P
We gave ourselves a new years resolution for 2012, to learn the ukulele. Phil and I went shopping together for our ukes, he bought a green one and I got a pink one. Throughout that year, I probably touched my pink instrument 5 times. I'm not sure about Phil, but we kept telling eachother we'd learn together.
I've learnt a few chords and strumming techniques, but I want to get better at it. I would like to start writing songs and playing with confidence.
Today is Phil's birthday and I've written a short song for him. Watch it in the video bellow!
I want to thank Damielou, the gorgeous little ball of talent, for inspiring me to get back into music. She picked up the guitar not long ago and just became a pro. It takes a lot of work, but I'm going to get there.
And Phil, we will have a jam together soon! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ♡♡♡
