Last night I had a dream that it was the last day of year 12 and we were saying goodbye to everyone. But it was strange and different to how it would have been the first time.
Being 3 years out of school and knowing who you haven't seen again really changes the way you would say goodbye.
These people, my peers, teachers and even the school grounds keepers had a really big impact on my life and really helped me find the person I am today.
If I could go back to the last day of school and see everyone again, I wouldn't just say goodbye, I'd also say a huge thank you. I wouldn't say "we'll catch up soon" because I know we won't. We might catch up in 2 or 3 years, but not soon.
This kind of dream is weird for me, I never really think back on school. I didn't actually finish school and when I left it was really rushed and I didn't say goodbye or thank you to a lot of people.
Being friends with some of these people on Facebook doesn't really help either. They're there, but we don't really talk. It's only really been in the past year that I've started catching up with people from school again and it is better than expected. It's interesting to see how people have grown up amd matured.
The award ceremonies are coming up for the high school I went to and I'm going to go and see who I can see. Say thanks to all the teachers and my younger (much younger) friends are graduating this year, it will be nice to see that.
Damn nostalgia. Damn weird, emotional dreams.
Thanks reading! Baii!!
